Head Instructor, Thomson Branch

MASTER JANG HEEJAE

Master Jang Heejae is the Head Instructor for the Thomson Branch. A graduate of the Cheongju University, Department of Physical Education Masters Programme with a full Taekwondo scholarship, he holds a 6th Dan Kukkiwon black belt, and a 5th Dan with the Singapore Taekwondo Federation.

He was Singapore’s National Team Coach from 2014 to 2018, leading the team in various competitions such as the 8th Asian Junior Taekwondo Championships, the 1st Asian Cadet Taekwondo Championships, the 22nd Asian Taekwondo Championships, the 28th SEA Games, the 2017 WTF World Taekwondo Championships, the 12th and 13th ASEAN Taekwondo Championships, the Asian Taekwondo Qualification Tournament for Rio Olympics in 2016, the 2016 and 2017 Korea Open International Taekwondo Championships, and the 20th and 21st Asian Cities International Taekwondo Championships.

As an athlete, he has attained 1st placing/champion in various competitions including the International Taekwondo Championships, Korea National Taekwondo Championships and the Singapore National Taekwondo Championships.
